Cantrall Ratings in NKy

According to Dave Cantrall's rating system, Antonio Campbell's Holy Cross squad is No. 1 in NKy.

Here are the final Cantrall Ratings for the districts with Northern Kentucky teams.

The Cantrall Ratings come from “Dave Cantrall’s Rating the State” column in the Herald Leader every week. “Rating the State is a system for ranking the state’s high school basketball teams according to strength, schedule and record,” – according to Cantrall’s column.

I imagine that means, strength of schedule and record, but I’m not sure… Maybe Dave measures teams’ body fats and bench press for these.

I really don’t have any problems with the way the ratings turned out, except for the 33rd District. It’s just hard for me to take Ryle as the second team in that district with the Raiders’ record. But Ryle, Conner and Cooper are all very close in the ratings with less than a full point separating them, so maybe it just shows how wide open that 33rd District tournament is.
