Former offensive coordinator Dave Brossart is the new head football coach at Dixie Heights High School.
Brossart, who formerly coached at Covington Catholic for two years prior to Dave Wirth, told his team after school on Thursday. Dixie football parents were also told about the hire via the following email from Dixie Athletic Director Matt Willhoite:
“I am proud to announce that Dave Brossart has been named the next Head Football Coach at Dixie Heights. The Search Committee, after accepting numerous resumes, doing initial screenings, and conducting two rounds of interviews, has unanimously agreed that Coach Brossart is the best fit to lead the program.”
Over 50 players signed a petition to have Brossart hired as the new head coach.
Brossart started his career as an assistant at Indian Hill, before being hired on at Finneytown as the head coach. He then coached at CovCath starting in the 2007-08 season. He then resigned in January of 2009 with a 10-14 record after two seasons.
