Rick’s Take: Top 5 RB’s in 2011

Yesterday it was the quarterbacks, today it’s time to break down my top five running backs in Northern Kentucky. Here’s the list:

Top five running backs

1. Travis Elliot – SR – Ryle – Hard-nosed runner is easily tops in NKy.
2. Cameron Vocke – SR – Beechwood – Versatile back with big-play ability.
3. Seth Bruns – SR – Dixie – Speedy back doesn’t need many carries to rack up big yardage.
4. Jake True – SR – Highlands – Tough runner that will finally get his turn to shine.
5. Ryan Sowder – SR – Scott – Most underrated player in NKy.

   No, though he’s definitely right at the cut off. I expect him to have a very good year.

   Agreed. He was fantastic and I’m not surprised. I named five very good backs as well and remember this was a preseason poll so he had never had a performance like this yet.
